Beautiful British Columbia. The tourism ads promote these unceded lands, where the mountains and the water meet, as the primary draw for millions of people to our province each year. Is it just the landscape that makes our province such a siren? To those who live here, the most breathtaking part of our province is the emulsion of different cultures and the different understandings of place that act as the foundation of what makes living in British Columbia unique — being able to enjoy in the same week an authentic bao, or samosa, or Nanaimo bar, sometimes all on the same block.
