One of the largest South Asian festivals in Canada returns online for a week of free activities and concerts.
The #BollywoodMonsterMashup kicks off on Sept. 6 with soca and Bollywood dance classes, painting and live interviews all streamed on Facebook at 4 p.m.
The concert series airs between Sept. 10 — 11, with performances on Facebook Live from Raftaar, Harshdeep Kaur and Canada’s first “Drag Race” winner Priyanka, among others.
Some songs featured will be “One Love” by Bob Marley, “Pon De Replay” by Rihanna and “Jump in the Line” by Harry Belafonte.
Patricia Jaggernauth, Amish Patel, Amin Dhillion and Dilshad Burman will be the hosts of this year’s festivals and activities.
“#BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD is a party where all are welcome. This year, Indians, Pakistanis, Guyanese, Jamaicans and people from all backgrounds are cooking up good times for you,” said festival director Vikas Kohli, in a news release announcing the lineup.

- Aug 29 @ 12:00 pm EST Interact live with Bollywood stars Raaftar and Javed Ali at the free #BollywoodMonster Meet & Greet on Instagram Live
- Sep 6-9 @ 4:00 pm EST Learn Soca and Bollywood Dance, Indo-Caribbean music, painting and more at the free #BollywoodMonster Family Fun on Facebook Live
- Sep 10-11 @ 6:00 pm EST Watch performances by Priyanka, Harshdeep Kaur, Javed Ali, Raftaar, and more at the free #BollywoodMonster Concerts on Facebook Live
