#BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD brings exclusive interviews with Bollywood stars, sand art, Irish x Punjabi fusion music and more

Mississauga, ON: The largest South Asian festival in Canada, #BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD, revs up its 12th year with virtual events leading up to the in-person concerts. The free #BollywoodMonster World Showcase will run from Mon Jul 25-Sat Jul 30 daily at 12 pm EST/9:30 pm IST on Facebook Live (@BollywoodMonsterMashup). It will feature Q&A with Bollywood singers Nikhita Gandhi (singer of viral song “Naach Meri Rani”), Ash King (singer of “I love you” from Bodyguard), Arjuna Harjai (composer of “O Soniye” from Titoo MBA), Aishwarya Nigam (the voice of Salman Khan in the hit song “Munni Badnaam Hui” from Dabangg), Bishakh Jyoti (National Film Award winner for “Best Music Direction”) and Sanchari Bose (playback singer for films like The World Before Her). The event is being hosted by Akash Vukoti, a child prodigy from the Netflix Documentary “Spelling the Dream”.

“We’re thrilled to be back in person for 2022, but we need to show love to the millions of online viewers we picked up over the past 2 years. So, we’re giving virtual and in-person fans 10 days of events,” says festival Executive Director Vikas Kohli. “Discover innovative artists from around the world, like Irish x Punjabi EDM mashups by The Snake Charmer, “Badtameez Dil” mashed up with “Uptown Funk” by USA’s Penn Masala, drag x rap by Sweden’s Petter Wallenberg & Rainbow Riots feat. Tropical Marca, India’s sand artist Sand Kaushik and more.”

The #BollywoodMonster World Showcase will also feature Jonita Gandhi, Aakanksha Sharma, Abhilasha Chellam and Parvaaz performing exclusive acoustic songs. Each day will round off with curated music & dance videos sent in by artists from around the world. To RSVP and view the full lineup for each day, visit BollywoodMonsterMashup.com/Virtual.
