Virtual and in-person events at this year’s Bollywood Monster Mashup Festival

The largest South Asian festival in Canada, #BollywoodMonster Mashup presented by TD, is back for the 12th year with virtual events leading up to in-person concerts in Mississauga.

The free #BollywoodMonster World Showcase runs from Monday, July 25 to Saturday, July 30 daily on Facebook Live (@BollywoodMonsterMashup) and presents Q&A sessions with Bollywood singers including Nikhita Gandhi, Ash King, Aishwarya Nigam and Sanchari Bose.

The Showcase also features Jonita Gandhi, Aakanksha Sharma, Abhilasha Chellam and Parvaaz performing exclusive songs. Each day will round off with curated music and dance videos sent in by artists from around the world. To RSVP and view the full lineup for each day, visit BollywoodMonsterMashup.com/Virtual.

“We’re thrilled to be back in person for 2022, but we need to show love to the millions of online viewers we picked up over the past 2 years. So, we’re giving virtual and in-person fans 10 days of events,” says festival Executive Director Vikas Kohli. “Discover innovative artists from around the world, like Irish x Punjabi EDM mashups by The Snake Charmer, “Badtameez Dil” mashed up with “Uptown Funk” by USA’s Penn Masala, drag x rap by Sweden’s Petter Wallenberg & Rainbow Riots feat. Tropical Marca, India’s sand artist Sand Kaushik and more.”

Live in-person events will be held at the Mississauga Celebration Square on August 5 and 6.

August 5 @ 4 pm. Watch Aaman Trikha, singer of “Hookah Bar” and “Bansuri”, perform live. Eat some kabobs, roasted corn & chaat papri and learn Bollywood dance.

August 6 @ 2 pm Get a photo-op with Sunny Leone. Eat kulfi, gol gappas, samosas & dosas and shop for jewellery or try free family activities.

August 6 @ 6 pm. Watch Yasser Desai & Aakanksha Sharma (singers of “Jogi”) dance to Bollywood x Disco fusion and more.
