Barrister and solicitor Nancy Lam decided to write her first novel, “The Loyal Daughter”, when she lost her mother. The story follows a young woman in a village in China making her way to the crowded streets of Hong Kong, who manages to immigrate to Northern Ontario, and eventually makes Toronto home.
