COTABATO CITY — About 20,000 people fled their homes in remote villages of at least three towns in Maguindanao and North Cotabato provinces following Sunday’s bomb run and ground operations conducted by the military against Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) gunmen, reports from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) government on Monday showed.
