Magnitude 4.2 quake jolts Sarangani–Phivolcs

A MAGNITUDE 4.2 earthquake hit Sarangani, Davao Oriental on Monday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said. The quake was recorded 249 kilometers (km) east of Sarangani at 1:48 p.m. It had a depth of 20 km and was tectonic in origin. No major damage was reported and no aftershocks were expected, Phivolcs said.
