Onitsuka Tiger’s New Era Begins in Milan With Its Spring/Summer 2027 Collection
Milan became the intersection of fashion, movement, and culture once again as Onitsuka Tiger presented its Spring/Summer 2027 collection at Milan Fashion Week.
Titled “Energy Station,” the show imagined a place where travelers from different directions come together, pause, refuel, and continue toward their next destination. The idea became the backdrop for a collection that explored contrasts, particularly between polished tailoring and the utilitarian language of sportswear.

The 49-look collection moved between earth-toned tailored suits, silk-like shirts, leather motorcycle-inspired miniskirts, canvas work jackets, wide shorts inspired by Muay Thai, floral tops, wide-leg denim, and grunge-influenced velvet dresses. Fringe, ribbons, leather, and Western-inspired details added another layer to the styling, giving the collection a distinctly eclectic attitude.

Footwear took an equally prominent role. The iconic MEXICO X66 was reworked in antique-inspired metallic leather and introduced in a new mule silhouette, while knee-high lace-up heeled boots, boxer-style boots, chunky pumps, loafers, and metallic pointed-toe styles expanded the brand’s footwear lineup. A new Onitsuka Tiger Stripe was also unveiled, updating one of the brand’s most recognizable signatures for a new era.

The show’s sense of movement extended into a major collaboration with Honda. Motorcycle-inspired graphics and silhouettes appeared throughout the collection, alongside the world premiere of the Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept, a concept motorcycle developed around the collaboration.

The Milan runway also drew a strong Filipino presence, with Max Collins, Heart Evangelista, and Kylie Verzosa ringing three distinct interpretations of Onitsuka Tiger’s aesthetic to the show. Max leaned into the collection’s playful side in a multicolored cropped cardigan styled with relaxed gray trousers and Onitsuka Tiger footwear, while Heart opted for a softer, feminine look in a pale blue utility-inspired mini dress layered with a floral cardigan and paired with sneakers. Kylie took on the collection’s earthy tones in a textured brown jacket and matching mini skirt, styled with a fitted white top, slouchy socks, and statement sandals.

The show drew a diverse international guest list, including Momo, Baifern, Rashmika Mandanna, Kim Jae-won, Tomohisa Yamashita, Raline Shah, and Gulf Kanawut, who joined the Milan runway audience to experience Onitsuka Tiger’s latest collection.

With “Energy Station,” Onitsuka Tiger brings together its Japanese heritage, sportswear roots, and a more expansive fashion vocabulary. Between the new Tiger Stripe, refreshed footwear, Honda collaboration, and an international Milan guest list, a new chapter for the brand is clearly underway.
