‘Beyond the Exchange with Rico Hizon’ nominated for best talk show in Asian Television Awards

The awards body, which recognizes excellence in broadcast and digital content across the Asia-Pacific region, announced its nominees Thursday.
Hosted by veteran broadcast journalist Rico Hizon, the program features interviews with industry leaders and prominent personalities.
The nomination comes just days after Hizon was recognized Best Entertainment Host from the Philippines for “Rated R: The Rico Hizon Podcast” at the Asian Academy Creative Awards.
The ANC program was also among several Philippine titles and personalities nominated for honors at this year’s awards.
“A Secret in Prague,” starring Andrea Brillantes and Enrique Gil, was nominated for Best Drama Series (OTT), a category for programs released on over-the-top streaming platforms.
Although produced by TV5, “A Secret in Prague” also streams on Netflix and airs on ABS-CBN platforms such as Kapamilya Channel.
TV5’s “Vibe+” was also nominated for Best Music Programme, alongside “Coke Studio Philippines Season 9 – Dionela x Alex Bruce – Fall Season.”
Meanwhile, state-run PTV4’s “PTV News Tonight” was nominated for Best News Programme, while anchor Charm Espina earned a nomination for Best News Presenter or Anchor.
Former ABS-CBN journalist Willard Cheng, who now hosts Bilyonaryo News Channel’s “Agenda,” was also nominated in the Best News Presenter or Anchor category.
The ceremony will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in November.
