MANILA — “It’s Showtime” host and singer Cianne Dominguez plans to pursue legal action following a hit-and-run incident in Antipolo, Rizal on October 5.

Dominguez told ABS-CBN News she was driving with her two nephews, aged 4 and 8, when a motorcycle suddenly swerved toward her vehicle and hit its rear portion.

“‘Yung dalawa kong pamangkin sa likod sila nakasakay eh syempre para mas safe,” said Dominguez.

“No’ng nag-stop ako para pagbigyan ‘yung tricycle sa harap ko, bigla siyang pumunta sa gilid ko, as in sumingit siya nang ganon. Malakas ‘yung pagkakabundol niya, and nagulat ‘yung dalawa kong pamangkin,” she added.

Dominguez tried to follow the motorcycle while honking, but the rider sped away without stopping.

The artist’s vehicle sustained damage to its rear portion and will require repainting.

While she and her nephews were unharmed, Dominguez said she decided to take legal action to raise awareness about the responsibility of motorists involved in road accidents.

The Land Transportation Office has reportedly identified the registered owner of the motorcycle involved in the incident as a resident of Binangonan, Rizal.

Dominguez urged riders and other motorists to drive responsibly and remain careful on the road.

Maging maingat, maging calm and composed tayo, especially sa daan,” she said.
