4 Pinays make list of Fortune’s 100 ‘Most Powerful Women’ in Asia
MANILA — Four Filipinas made it to the 2026 Fortune Most Powerful Women Asia (MPW Asia) list.
Leading the Pinays on the list is GCash president and chief executive officer (CEO) Martha Sazon, who is recognized for the fintech giant’s upcoming debut on the Philippine Stock Exchange. The initial public offering is expected to raise about P61 billion—on track to be the country’s largest-ever listing.
Sazon ranked 35th on the list of Asia’s most powerful women.
Landbank president and CEO Lynette Ortiz ranks 77th, feted for leading the bank to a record net income of P44 billion in 2025. Fortune also noted that Landbank remitted P32.6 billion in dividends to the national government in 2026 — its third straight year as the largest dividend payer among the Philippines’ state-owned companies.
Placing 87th is Megaworld president and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso. Fortune said Megaworld posted a net income of P24 billion in 2025 and has fully leased 24 office towers housing 80,000 workers.
UnionBank president and CEO Ana Maria Aboitiz Delgado is 98th on the list. Fortune said she became the first woman to lead the Bankers Association of the Philippines in its nearly 80-year history.
Topping the Fortune list is DBS Group CEO Tan Su Shan, the first woman to lead Southeast Asia’s largest bank by assets.
“Technology leads the list with 16 women, ahead of banking with 14—a reflection of Asia’s formidable strength in hardware, electronics, and advanced manufacturing. Together, they are shaping industries, companies, and markets far beyond the region,” Fortune noted.
