In a statement, LTO said it has issued the show-cause order against the registered owner of the motorcycle and the rider. Both are required to appear before the LTO on October 9 to explain the incident and submit necessary documents.
LTO also said the rider may be charged with violation of Reckless Driving and Duty of the Driver in Case of Accident. The rider may also be charged with Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle.
The rider is also asked to surrender his driver’s license, and he will be placed under a 90-day preventive suspension.
Dominguez earlier said she was driving with her two nephews, aged 4 and 8, when a motorcycle suddenly swerved toward her vehicle and hit its rear portion.
While she and her nephews were unharmed, Dominguez said she decided to take legal action to raise awareness about the responsibility of motorists involved in road accidents.
