Sigabo: Gabo, nagbakasakali sa kanyang balak para kay Gloria | Episode 78

After their sewing and ironing tutorial, Gabo (Coco Martin) invites Gloria (Julia Montes) for a drink before they call it a night. When she asks why, Gabo says he simply wants to celebrate the job he’s sure to land the following day.

Gloria then quizzes him if he has any vices, to which Gabo reveals that he occasionally drinks and jokingly adds that his only vice is loving and caring for her. As she calls him such a sweet-talker, Gloria teases Gabo about possibly having had plenty of girlfriends in the past, which he strongly denies. He claims that he actually has never been in a relationship despite having many women crushing on him.

As she asks about Tekla (Sue Ramirez), Gabo tells Gloria that he only sees her as a childhood friend—and that’s all their relationship ever was and ever will be. He doesn’t deny that Tekla has deep feelings for him, but points out that just because she likes him doesn’t mean he has to feel the same way. For Gabo, his heart will always decide whom he loves—and that person is none other than Gloria.

Gloria continues to press him, asking why he thinks she agreed to marry him. Gabo says Gloria told him she liked him, perhaps because of his simplicity and authenticity—qualities he considers the only things he can truly be proud of. Satisfied with his made-up story, Gloria tells him that although her memories have yet to return, she knows that he is a good person.

Just when it seems Gabo might finally confess the truth, he instead reveals that the real reason he invited her for a drink is to take a chance on his plan for Gloria, making it part of their celebration for the job he expects to land the next day. He playfully teases her once more, saying he is a “lion,” just like on their first night together, which she simply laughs off.
