Sigabo: Gloria, nasabi na maswerte ang mapapangasawa ni Gabo | Episode 78

As Gabo (Coco Martin) prepares to resume his postponed job hunt the following day, Gloria (Julia Montes) helps him pick out what to wear. However, after finding something suitable, they discover that the pants she chose are actually torn.

Since Gloria doesn’t know how to sew, which Gabo attributes to her memory loss, he happily teaches her—from threading the needle to sewing the proper way. He even proudly claims that he was the best in their class at sewing back when he was still in school.

As he starts mending his pants, Gabo thanks Gloria for taking the time to help him turn their lives around. He also opens up to her about his worries about his job hunt, fearing that employers might look down on him because he didn’t finish his studies. Gloria consoles him, reminding him that he has already practiced his potential interviews, as well as that more than a diploma, what matters most, according to her, are his wisdom, kindness, and determination.

However, Gabo still can’t help but think that things might have been different had he finished his studies, as he would have had something to be proud of and a valuable tool to carry with him wherever he goes. He then opens up about how it saddens him whenever he thinks of his late mother, who used to help him with his studies. Thus, he can’t help but regret and think that his circumstances could have been different if only she’s still alive.

Inspired by his own experience, Gabo tells Gloria that he has promised himself that he will do everything in his power to ensure that his future children can finish their studies. It’s becuase he knows that education is the one thing he can pass on to them that no one can ever take away.

While he can’t help but remember his mother, Gabo clarifies that Rudy has been a good father to him. At the same time, he conveys how deeply grateful he is that Gloria came into his life to guide him and care for his entire family. With that, he promises to her that he will come home the next day with a job.

As Gabo demonstrates to her the proper way of sewing and ironing clothes, Gloria imagines telling Gabo, “Napakasuwerte naman ng mapapangasawa mo. Sa ganda ng puso mo, sa abilidad mo, sino mang babaeng tunay na mamahalin mo, siguradong napakapalad niya.”
