‘BAKA ANG DAPAT MAG-ADJUST AY SILA.’
Lead defense counsel Sheila Sison argues that the prosecution has at least 13 lawyers present who could take over the presentation of the BIR witness, instead of asking the defense to adjust to the last-minute change.
“I suppose that they met over the scope of the direct examination of the BIR witness, and the two lead prosecutors of this article are here present today. And any one of them can take charge of the work left by one of their colleague,” she said.
Sison added, “Para po sabihin na kami na lang ang mag-adjust, nandiyan naman po ang BIR witness nila, baka ang dapat mag-adjust ay sila, tutal ang cause nito ay hindi naman respondent kundi ang prosecution.”
“For us, the more fair na dapat gawin ay prosecution finds a way out of its own concern nang walang prejudice sa prosecution,” she said. #VPonTrial | @AprBenjaminINQ

VP SARA NO-SHOW AT NBI; COUNSEL SUBMITS AFFIDAVIT
WATCH: Vice President Sara Duterte did not appear at the NBI on Thursday and instead sent her legal counsel to comply with her invitation letter amid the ongoing probe into the “cash delivery” claims of dismissed police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr.
Duterte’s lawyer, Atty. Clifford Chua said he would submit VP’s affidavit, including the photographs that she presented during her press conference on Tuesday.
Gracioso is claiming to have delivered over P2 billion to Duterte in suitcases starting in 2018 upon the instructions of his former boss, ex-House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco, and his wife, Rowena. #VPonTrial | @MJSalcedoINQ

House prosecutor Terry Ridon asks the impeachment court to allow the prosecution to present a forensic financial analyst first, as counsel Erwin Matib, who was supposed to present the BIR witness, is ill.
Lead defense counsel Sheila Sison objects, saying it had prepared extensively to cross-examine the expected BIR witness and was not given adequate notice of the substitute witness. #VPonTrial | @AprBenjaminINQ
