Anne Curtis begins filming Mikhail Red’s new thriller ‘Remote’

MANILA — Kapamilya star Anne Curtis has started filming “Remote,” a paranoia thriller directed by Mikhail Red and set in contemporary Manila.

Producer Evolve Studios and Viva Films announced the start of production on October 6 through social media, posting photos of Curtis and the cast from the film’s look test.

Joining Curtis in the cast are John Arcilla, Sid Lucero, Ryza Cenon and Zeke Polina. The film is scheduled for release in 2027.

Variety first reported in July that Curtis would lead “Remote,” playing Violet Olvido, a journalist investigating a string of killings linked to a shadowy international outsourcing company that recruits remote workers across the Philippines.

As she goes deeper undercover within the organization, Violet’s grip on reality begins to erode.
