BTS RM appeals to fans as crowds outside hotels amid Arirang world tour affect members and staff

BTS leader RM has appealed to ARMYs to stop gathering outside the group’s hotels during their ongoing world tour, explaining that the crowds and noise have been affecting the rest periods of the members and their staff.

The K-pop group is currently in Peru for the Latin American leg of their Arirang world tour. Ahead of BTS’s first-ever concert in the country since their debut, RM took to Weverse to address the situation and asked fans to give them more privacy while they are offstage.

While expressing the group’s appreciation for the enthusiastic welcome they have received, RM said the constant presence of fans outside their accommodation has made it difficult for everyone to get enough sleep.

“Now members and staff are struggling because fans are staying in front of the hotel we are staying at all day long,” he wrote. “The noise is so loud that it reaches our rooms, and everyone is having trouble sleeping. Moreover, we are causing significant inconvenience to other guests staying at the same hotel.”

RM emphasized that getting proper rest is important for the group to deliver their best performances throughout the tour.

“We are grateful for your warm welcome and passion, but if we cannot rest and sleep properly, it will affect our performances with you,” he said.

He also extended his request beyond Peru, reminding fans that BTS will be visiting several other destinations in the coming months.

“So, please do not stay in front of the hotel not only in Lima but also in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, and other Asian countries we will visit in the future. We kindly ask for your cooperation.”

RM ended his message by expressing confidence that ARMYs would understand the group’s concerns and respect their boundaries.

“I believe our amazing ARMY fans will understand and refrain from doing so. I hope we can build a more mature and proud relationship.”

This is not the first time a BTS member has spoken out about fans visiting their accommodations during the tour.

Last July, V made a similar appeal through a Weverse Moment post, asking ARMYs not to visit the hotels where the group was staying. He also expressed concern about his whereabouts being shared, explaining that the situation could affect his performance.

To illustrate how little rest he had been getting, V shared a screenshot of his sleep data, which showed that he had slept for only two hours and 27 minutes.

The singer also opened about how valuable his limited free time is while on tour, saying that simple activities such as exploring a city, grabbing a meal, or taking a walk offer him rare opportunities to enjoy himself outside his demanding schedule.

BTS is scheduled to perform three sold-out shows at the Philippine Sports Stadium on March 13, 14, and 16, 2027.
