The Legaspis turn family time into one big barkada hangout on “Gandang Gabi Vice”

We’ve seen Zoren, Carmina, Mavy, and Cassy Legaspi share countless adorable family moments over the years, but there’s still so much we don’t know about this close-knit bunch. Their recent “Gandang Gabi Vice” guesting gave us a peek into their family dynamic, complete with hilarious stories and a few secrets that even Zoren and Carmina heard for the first time.

The fam took on a little game where Mavy and Cassy had to read out a series of internet acronyms while Zoren and Carmina raced to guess their meaning. And then they enjoyed a ‘role reversal’ challenge where they had to approve or reject one another’s looks based on a series of edited photos.

Mavy’s picture showed him sporting tattoos all over his upper body, which Carmina wouldn’t give her stamp of approval. While she acknowledged that she couldn’t control her kids’ decisions, she’d still tell them if she disagreed with their choices.

Next was a photo of Zoren in full drag, which Mavy and Cassy were totally fine with. As Mavy pointed out, they were raised not to be homophobic or sexist. From there, Mavy recalled a conversation he had with Zoren when was around 12 years old, when his dad asked him, “Straight ka ba o hindi?”

When asked why he talked to his son about it at such a young age, Zoren explained that he wanted Mavy to feel comfortable being himself, “So that we can gear up doon sa kung ano ka, hindi ka na magtatago.” Mavy then shared that he didn’t expect his dad to be so open about such a topic, given his macho action star image.

Of course, they weren’t able to escape the “Deep Truth” segment. Here, each read a statement that Vice Ganda and the Geng Gang Divine Tetay, Vince Maristela, and Verna Periwinkle had to guess as either a fact or lie.

And let’s just say, even Mom and Tatay were ‘shookt’ by their twins’ revelations. First up was Mavy’s statement, “Pinahiya ako ng isang direktor sa set kasi akala niya pinaringgan ko ang co-actor ko,” which turned out to be legit. But even his parents had no idea this had happened, since Mavy dealt with it himself.

According to Mavy, he was only 17 and working on his first teleserye when the incident took place, “Nag-eeksena kami sa may pool tapos biglang buhos ng ulan. ‘Di ba, nagjo-joke tayo na ‘pag may ulan hihingi ka ng sabon. Nasabi ko ‘yun kasi ‘yun ang joke ng wardrobe.” And then the said director called him out, thinking he’d made the remark to poke fun at a co-actor who reportedly had body odor.

Meanwhile, Cassy spilled, “Nahimatay ako sa kalsada at naospital pero hindi ako inalagaan ng ex friend ko.” Among the Geng Gang members, only Vince correctly guessed that it was true, apparently because Cassy had told him about the incident, which happened during an overseas trip with that former friend.

Carmina’s statement was quite the bombshell! She claimed, “Lumayas ako ng bahay 2 years ago dahil pinag-awayan namin ang ex ni Zoren.” Thankfully, it was all made up, much to Mavy and Cassy’s relief. Vice and the Geng Gang, however, weren’t so lucky as they got their guess wrong.

Carmina explained that while she’s capable of walking out in the middle of an argument, she could never leave home. Plus, she and Zoren don’t make a habit of fighting over past relationships. “No’ng dumating ako sa buhay niya, ex niya na ‘yun, eh,” she reasoned. And speaking of exes, Zoren revealed that he’s still on good terms with all his former girlfriends, which Carmina doesn’t mind at all.

And because they all got wrong answers, Vice and the Geng Gang  had to squeeze calamansi juice into their mouths and keep a straight face as their punishment.
