Tobey Maguire officiates wedding of ex-wife Jennifer Meyer
Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire took on a special role at the wedding of his ex-wife, Jennifer Meyer, to Geoffrey Ogunlesi as he officiated the ceremony, according to PEOPLE.
The couple exchanged vows at the Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii.
Jennifer’s marriage to Geoff follows the arrival of their daughter, which she announced on social media back in June.
Tobey and Jennifer finalized their divorce and were declared legally single on September 21, a decade after their separation.
The former couple tied the knot on September 3, 2007 and welcomed two children, Ruby and Otis, before ending their relationship in June 2016.
Jennifer initiated divorce proceedings in October 2020, while Tobey submitted his response in July 2025.
In May, Jennifer opened up about the positive relationship between Tobey and Geoff, sharing how they have maintained a close-knit blended family.
“We travel all together. We have every holiday together. We have every birthday all together,” Jennifer told PEOPLE. “[Tobey] is an incredible father. He is an incredible ex-husband. And Geoff loves him and he loves Geoff. And so everything just works.”
Meanwhile back in 2021, Tobey reprised his role as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In an interview with Marvel back in January 2023, Tobey recalled how the project was offered to him.
“When they called initially, I was like finally! [Laughs] I got the call and was immediately open about coming to do this. Not without nerves – you know, ‘What will this look like and what will the experience be?’ But to get to show up with beautiful, talented, creative people and play together? It’s just like, ‘Yes!’ It’s fun and exciting,” he said.
He went on: “I love these films and I love all of the different series. If these guys called me and said, ‘Would you show up tonight to hang out and goof around?’ or ‘Would you show up to do this movie or read a scene or do a Spider-Man thing?’ It would be a [yes!’ Because why wouldn’t I want to do that?”
