Vice Ganda’s new film trailer gets love from netizens
The first trailer for Vice Ganda’s Metro Manila Film Festival 2026 entry “The Greatest Showdown” with Vic Sotto was released Monday.
In the trailer, which is now making the rounds on the internet, Vice’s character is seen having a humorous face-off with Vic’s character, with supporting characters Brent Manalo, Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra, Ryzza Mae Dizon, and Jose Manalo in the background.
The trailer gave viewers an early look at what the film would be like — funny, campy, and undeniably Vice and Vic.
Following the release, social media users took to the comments section to express their love for the year’s biggest comedy, which will be released in cinemas on December 25.
One netizen wrote, “Omg! Ito ang hinihintay ko.” “Mukhang maganda ‘to ah,” one FB user added.
“Ngayon ko lang nakita na magsama sina Vice Ganda at Vic Sotto. Mukhang maganda. Mapanood nga,” another FB user said.
“Maraming manonood niyan,” shared online user.
“I love the casting,” one netizen praised. “Dati, magkalaban ‘yan tuwing December. Ngayon, magkasama na. Sure blockbuster na agad. Tuwing December, itong dalawa, walang palya sa sinehan,” added another netizen.
“Siguradong punong-puno ang mga sinehan sa Pasko. Palipas muna ng 3 araw para maluwag na,” one FB user stated.
Under the direction of Jun Lana, “The Greatest Showdown” is Vice and Vic’s first film together after they were previously pitted against one another by their esteemed fans.
Additionally, Vice first disclosed to ABS-CBN News in April that he and Sotto had a pleasant meeting at a hotel and that he had been hoping to collaborate with Sotto.
The Unkabogable Superstar also told ABS-CBN News that the new film is entertaining for the whole family and isn’t an acting piece.
