BINI among top 28 acts featured in ‘Summer Sonic 2026 highlights’ alongside global stars

BINI is the only Filipino act featured in the official highlights of Summer Sonic 2026, alongside some of the festival’s biggest global performers.

The eight-member girl group is among the top 28 acts included in this year’s highlights video that features “performances by notable artists,” according to Summer Sonic.

Joining BINI in the highlights are international artists and groups, including BLACKPINK member Jennie, K-pop girl group LE SSERAFIM, and American rock band The Strokes, among others.

They were selected from more than 100 acts who took part in the festival that drew more than 300,000 attendees.

The highlights video, which runs for two hours and nine minutes, is now available for streaming on WOWOW On Demand until November 15.

Apart from the highlights special, viewers can also watch BINI’s full Tokyo performance on the Day 3 coverage of Summer Sonic, scheduled to become available on WOWOW On Demand starting October 31.

Prices for subscription plans start at around ₱1,004 or 2,530 Japanese yen.

Meanwhile, fellow Filipino acts SB19 and Ena Mori also performed at the festival. SB19’s performance is scheduled to be available for streaming on October 25 as part of the event’s Day 2 coverage.

BINI’s inclusion comes after the group performed at the Mountain stage twice during the Japanese music festival. They first brought their music to Osaka audiences with a 40-minute set on August 14, before performing in Tokyo by August 16.

Their setlist featured “Cherry on Top,” “Zero Pressure,” “Out of My Head,” “Blush,” and “Step Back,” and “Pantropiko.” They also performed the Japanese version of “Born to Win,” and incorporated Japanese lyrics into “Salamin, Salamin.”

BINI also delighted audiences with “Sugar Rush” during their Osaka performance and performed “Unang Kilig” in Tokyo.

Beyond their music, the group also showcased Filipino culture through their stage outfits. Designed by Cheetah Rivera and styled by Ica Villanueva, their feathered ensembles drew inspiration from the Philippines’ mythical Sarimanok, bringing a distinct Filipino element to their international festival appearances.

At the time, BINI also reached the No. 1 spot among trending topics on X worldwide and in the Philippines.
