Walking green flags or total red flags? “Someone, Someday” stars get real about their roles

When it comes to romance, the LoveList family and the Jade & Jude crew have plenty of heartfelt advice to share—mostly regarding the good qualities to look for in a life partner or the troublesome characteristics to watch out for when finding the “right one.”

In this exclusive interview, let’s see if the biggest green and red flags of these “Someone, Someday” characters would align with the honest preferences of their real-life actors!

First in line were Kat Galang and Gela Atayde, who are both core members of the LoveList family. Kat easily spoke about her character Toni Prieto’s green flag as a career-focused chief financial officer. Similarly, Gela highlighted the passionate attitude of Marj Quinto for her equally important role as the company’s social media manager and content creator.

Right after discussing Toni and Marj’s ideal first dates and character bios, Kat and Gela proceeded to elaborate on the red flags of their roles. For Gela, Marj’s fighter personality can sometimes go overboard: “Minsan hindi [na] niya alam kung saan ilulugar.”

On the other hand, Kat found it difficult to identify Toni’s flaw but eventually decided on the instances where it would be hard for her to say no—even when she has to.

In the show, Verna Joy Periwinkle’s character, Blaire Espiritu, and Nicco Manalo’s character, Robbie Jacinto, are often seen interacting with each other—especially when the playful Blaire expresses her affection for the distant Robbie, who’s actually smitten with Valerie Jones (Daniela Stranner).

Despite Robbie’s disinterest in Blaire, Nicco translated his personal appreciation for Blaire’s hardworking and generous personality into real life. “Blaire is super hardworking. Hindi makasarili [at] ibibigay ang lahat para sa taong importante sa kanya,” he said.

Likewise, Verna loved Robbie’s loyalty as a friend—specifically to Jordan Valentin (James Reid). His red flag, however, was that he just can’t seem to notice Blaire. Nicco humorously chimed in, noting how Blaire doesn’t have Robbie as a romantic partner.

The final pair to complete their characters’ dating profiles were Bong Gonzales and PJ Endrinal. PJ quickly identified his character, Mori, as a loyal person, while Bong defined his role as Rain Delgado as a total go-getter.

Moving on from their green flags, PJ pointed to Mori’s trust issues as his major red flag, whereas Bong admitted that Rain being a workaholic might lead to complications when balancing quality time with a partner.

Discover more about Toni, Marj, Blaire, Robbie, Rain, and Mori in “Someone, Someday,” streaming on iWant and airing weeknights at 8:45 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, Kapamilya Channel, TV5, A2Z, and Kapamilya Online Live (KOL).
