Mavy and Cassy recall funny memories of Zoren and Carmina’s 2016 “GGV” guesting

Some experiences are so much fun that you wouldn’t mind doing them all over again. Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villarroel-Legaspi certainly know that feeling! The couple first guested on “Gandang Gabi Vice” in 2016, and just last Sunday, October 11, 2026, they were back for another round of ‘kulitan’ on the show, bringing along their twins Mavy and Cassy.

In this pre-taping interview with ABS-CBN Studios, the Legaspi family looked back on that “GGV” debut and shared what they expected from their family date with Vice Ganda.

For Zoren and Carmina, their first “GGV” experience was one for the books as it gave viewers a chance to discover a different side of Zoren, who actually has a funny bone, in contrast to his serious tough-guy image. If you remember that episode, he had an endless supply of hilarious stories and ‘hirits’ and wasn’t shy about answering Vice’s juiciest and wildest questions.

Mavy and Cassy also have fond memories of that episode, which aired when they were just 16. Admittedly, they were a little nervous about their dad’s tendency to overshare on national TV, but much to their surprise and delight, the episode ended up trending.

“We were still in high school at that time. Lahat ng kaklase namin sinasabi nila na napanood nila ‘yung episode na ‘yun, so it’s very memorable,” Mavy said. Cassy added, “I think that’s when they opened up the most sa mga kuwento nila from before. Personally, I learned a lot din sa mga kuwento nila with Meme. Parang, I got to know my parents more through the episode.”

Having survived the “GGV” hot seat before, Zoren and Carmina had some tips for the first-timers Mavy and Cassy, telling them to be honest, go along with Vice’s jokes, and just enjoy the experience. Not that the twins needed much coaching in the humor department, since being naturally ‘makulit’ runs in the family.

It’s not like Mavy and Cassy were meeting Vice for the first time, either. They had actually hung out with her at parties, so they knew they’d feel comfortable around her. Still, they were a little nervous, knowing her unpredictable interview style.

“Mas magulo, mas riot, mas masaya,” Carmina said of what she was looking forward to, pointing out that they always have a good time during family interviews. The twins also felt safe having their parents around. If Vice asked something they couldn’t answer, the ultimate backup plan was to let Papa Z do the talking. And true enough, that’s exactly how their “GGV” guesting played out last Sunday!
