Kaya-Iloilo vs Indonesia
by Jonas Terrado
Kaya-Iloilo is out to show that its last-gasp draw against Indonesia’s PSM Makassar was no fluke as the two sides meet again in the AFC Cup at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City.
The Copa Paulino Alcantara champions are determined to get the full three points in the 3 p.m. match and gain ground in the race for the top spot in Group H.
Both sides are leveled at five points apiece but Kaya holds the advantage on goal difference.
Singapore’s Home United, the reigning ASEAN Zonal winners, is a point behind in third.
The top team and possibly the second placer in the group will qualify into the ASEAN Zonal semis.
Kaya salvaged a 1-1 tie two weeks ago in Indonesia courtesy of a late equalizer by Marwin Angeles.
