Ben&Ben’s ‘Leaves (Reimagined)’ submitted for consideration at 2027 Grammy Awards

Filipino folk-pop band Ben&Ben is the latest local artist to submit a bid for consideration at the 2027 Grammy Awards with their song, “Leaves (Reimagined).” The band shared the news with their followers through their official social media accounts earlier this week.

Ben&Ben submitted the reimagined version of their song for consideration for Best Pop Group/Duo Performance.

“The reimagined version of ‘Leaves,’ a song that grew up with all of us, has been submitted for consideration to the Grammys for Best Pop Group/Duo Performance!” the band shared.

While the band believes it’s a long shot making the nominees, it’s a shot they’re willing to take to achieve their dream. The first round of voting is happening from October 12 to October 22 by the voting members of the organization. The official list will be out in November just in time for the Grammy Awards early next year.

“Suntok sa buwan, imposibleng pangarap, pero susubok pa rin! Salamat sa paglipad kasama namin, Liwanag,” the band expressed.

Fans of Ben&Ben expressed how happy they are with the bold step that the band has taken and are hopeful that they will be nominated in the category. Other netizens sent messages of good luck and congratulated them already for just submitting to be considered for the prestigious award-giving body.

“Yay ang dami ninyong nagsubmit! go opm!,” a fan wrote.

“I mean Ben & Ben, Bini and SB19 have always been the flag bearers of the Philippines’ OPM. No question about that,” another fan added.

Apart from Ben&Ben, the Nation’s Girl Group, BINI, has also made a bold bid as they submitted three entries for consideration at the Grammy Awards. Star Music previously announced that their songs, “Unang Kilig” and “A Parallel World” were submitted for consideration in the newly introduced Best Asian Pop Music Performance and Best Song Written for Visual Media, respectively. BINI has also submitted a bid for Best New Artist.
