Sigabo: Gloria, masaya sa naging resulta ng proyekto niya sa Ginintuang Lupa | Episode 84
Despite being a newcomer in Barangay Ginintuang Lupa, Gloria (Julia Montes) has already made a remarkable impression on Gabo’s (Coco Martin) family, who are amazed by how she has managed to convince their neighbors to take part in the clean-up drive she has initiated.
Aside from encouraging residents to clean their surroundings and remove anything that could pose a danger to the community, Gloria has also organized the collection of scrap items from their homes and around the neighborhood, which can then be brought to the community junk shop that Gabo’s family and friends helped put up.
Rudy (Joey Marquez) tells Gloria that many politicians have visited Ginintuang Lupa to beg for votes during election season to solicit votes and exploit the community for their own personal interests, only to forget about them afterwards. Worse, none of them has fulfilled their promises of positive change. Gloria responds that perhaps, sometimes, the only people they can truly rely on are one another.
As Mameng (Ces Quesada) expresses her pride in how a simple woman like Gloria has managed to bring about positive change in their barangay, Gloria humbly says that she has only done what she believes is right and necessary. Besides, she is not the only one who has made it all happen, but the entire community as well, as everyone has played a part in creating them. Gloria admits that she is surprised by how the residents have come to trust her and support her advocacy.
Rudy further tells Gloria that she has earned their trust because she does not simply give orders; she also clearly explains what needs to be done and why it matters. More importantly, she works alongside them instead of merely delegating tasks. Dante (Julio Diaz) agrees, pointing out that it can be discouraging to follow someone who constantly gives orders but does not take action themselves.
Mameng commends Gloria for being a good influence on everyone in Ginintuang Lupa, most especially to their family and Gabo. Gloria reiterates that she’s simply doing what she deems is right and says that their efforts do not end there, as they must continue building on what they have started. Gabo’s family then gives Gloria a round of applause.
