Bianca Manalo reveals reason behind breakup with Sherwin Gatchalian: ‘I will forever support him’

Bianca Manalo revealed that she and her former boyfriend, Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian, have maintained a good relationship following their breakup, with the actress-beauty queen expressing continued support for his work in public service. 

The actress-beauty queen appeared alongside fellow beauty queens Ariella Arida and MJ Lastimosa in an interview with Boy Abunda last October 15.  

At the time, she was asked about her current relationship with the senator. Bianca shared that they remain on good terms and continue to be part of each other’s lives, even sharing responsibilities for their three dogs. 

“We’re friends, yes… We’re good friends. We share custody of our three dogs,” she said. “‘Pag may kailangan akong help, I still talk to him. Siya pa rin tumutulong sa akin. ‘yung staff niya tumatawag sa akin pag may kailangan ako.” 

“He still takes good care of me,” she maintained. 

The conversation also touched on the reason behind their breakup, which had not been publicly discussed in detail before. Bianca explained that the senator’s commitment to serving the country played a significant role in their decision to part ways. 

“Mas focused siya sa pag-aalaga ng bansa and naiintindihan ko ‘yon Tito Boy kasi he’s very hardworking.” 

While she chose not to elaborate further on their separation, Bianca made it clear that she understands Sen. Sherwin’s work and does not resent his dedication to his responsibilities. 

“Mabuti na do’n na lang ‘di ba kaysa ibang bisyo. Ang bisyo niya is magsakripisyo at magserbisyo para sa Pilipinas. So, sino ako para pigilan siya?” she continued. “So, okay. I’m happy for him and I will forever support him.” 

The beauty queen also shared that she is happy with where she is in life and is currently focused on her family. She maintained not rushing to find a new relationship, choosing instead to enjoy her present circumstances. 

Bianca and Sherwin began dating in 2018. Rumors of their separation surfaced in 2025 before their breakup was confirmed this 2026.
