Ex-Pampanga Rep. Dong Gonzales posts bail for graft cases
Aurelio “Dong” D. Gonzales Jr./FacebookMANILA (UPDATED) — Former Pampanga 3rd District Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales posted bail for two counts of graft over alleged conflict of interest involving infrastructure projects.
Gonzales posted a P90,000 bail for his graft charge before the Sandiganbayan Second Division on Friday after the Office of the Ombudsman filed the charges on the same day.
“The warrant of arrest dated October 16, 2026 issued by this Division… is RECALLED,” read the order penned by Associate Justice Fritz Delos Santos.
He also posted bail on Saturday for his separate graft charge before the court’s Seventh Division.
Meanwhile, the court’s Third Division, which handles his separate graft charge, has yet to release a warrant of arrest against him.
The graft-busting body accused Gonzales, who is reportedly linked to A.D. Gonzales Construction, of being a so-called “congtractor” or a lawmaker who also own or manage construction firms with Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) contracts.
Gonzales denied that he is a contractor early this year.
