Glaiza De Castro receives surprise baby shower from friends: ‘Ramdam na ramdam ko ang pagmamahal’
Kapuso actress Glaiza De Castro was moved to tears after her close friends, including Kapamilya star Angelica Panganiban and singer-actor Kean Cipriano, surprised her with a baby shower during what she thought would be a simple get-together.
On her social media pages, Glaiza shared photos from the gathering and recalled how she had expected to spend another long night catching up with her friends, unaware that they had prepared something special for her.
“Ang usapan namin nila @iamangelicap at @kean, tatambay lang kami sa @eotostudios. Huling pagkikita kita naming tatlo inabot na kami ng madaling araw kaya inisip ko isa na naman tong mahabang gabi,” Glaiza shared.
She added, “Wala akong kamalay malay sa mga planong binubuo ng mga kaibigan ko, pero ito ang isa sa pinaka masayang tambay na ginawa namin.”
Beyond the surprise itself, Glaiza expressed gratitude for the people who have remained by her side through the different chapters of her life.
“Nasabi ko kay Lord na grabe siya sa mga taong binibigay niya sa akin. Ramdam na ramdam ko ang pagmamahal, at hindi lang ito dahil sa hormones. Nasubok na to ng matagal na taon. Na witness na namin ang mga iba’t ibang chapters ng buhay, at hanggang ngayon andito parin sila 🥹,” she stated.
The actress also thanked her friends for making the occasion special for her and her baby.
“Maraming maraming salamat Amigah sa pagiging pasimuno ng ganap na to, salamat Amigo sa lugar at lahat ng mga pumunta, masayang masaya rin si Baby Rainey dahil ramdam niya ang kaligayahan ng nanay niya. Mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat ❤️,” she expressed
Among those who attended the gathering were Angelica, director Andoy Ranay, Sheena Halili and her husband Jeron Manzanero, Gabby Eigenmann and his wife Apple, Kokoy de Santos, Angel Guardian, celebrity couple Mikael Daez and Megan Young, Kean and his wife Chynna Ortaleza, and Maxene Magalona.
“Mahal ka ng HOOMANS ❤️,” Angelica said.
Chyna also commented, “Mahal ka namin.. ❤️ Sulit ang pag plantsa! Heehee!”

Glaiza announced her pregnancy in September, sharing photos that showed her baby bump as she prepared to welcome her first child with her husband, Irish businessman David Rainey.
In a previous interview, the actress recalled how she initially struggled to believe she was pregnant, even taking several pregnancy tests to confirm the news.
“Hindi siya nagsink-in agad,” Glaiza maintained. “Parang siguro I had mga five pregnancy tests kasi hindi ako makapaniwala.”
“Parang tinitingnan ko lang. Tapos andon lang ako sa kama ko, [iniisip ko kung] totoo ba ‘to? Hindi siya yung parang, hindi talaga siya parang soap opera. Lahat ng mga ginawa ko sa soap, hindi ‘yun yung nangyari sa totoong buhay. I was so stunned. And I couldn’t believe na it was happening,” she added.
