Baron Geisler attends a marriage retreat: ‘May God continue to strengthen our marriage’
Seven years since he walked down the aisle, Baron Geisler and his non-showbiz wife Jamie Marie Evangelista have weathered their fair share of ups and downs. The couple, who have a daughter together named Talitha, each have children from their previous relationships.
Earlier this year, Jamie made headlines after a comment she made on social media got netizens buzzing with speculation regarding Baron’s recurring battle with alcohol and drug rehabilitation as well as inferred infidelity. The couple also briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram which also led to rumors about the status of their marriage despite celebrating their seventh year together last month.
On October 16, Baron shared photos and videos of himself and Jamie happily attending a couples retreat organized by the CCF (Christ’s Commission Fellowship). According to their website, the 2Be1 Couples’ Retreat is “a life-changing opportunity for couples to reconnect, communicate deeply, and build a stronger Christ-centered marriage.”
In his Facebook post, the talented actor reflected on his shared experience with his wife and how hopeful he is for a better future for their marriage.
He wrote,
“Marriage is not always easy. There will be seasons of joy and seasons of challenges, moments of understanding and moments when we struggle to understand each other.
“But love is more than a feeling. It is a choice we make every day — to listen, to forgive, to be patient, and to keep showing up for one another.
“This retreat is an opportunity to pause, reconnect, heal where healing is needed, and remember the love and commitment that brought us together.
“May God continue to strengthen our marriage, restore what needs restoring, and teach us both to love each other with grace, humility, and understanding.
Through thick and thin, may we continue choosing each other, walking together, and keeping God at the center of our marriage.
“Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” — Matthew 19:6”
