MANILA— President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday led the awarding of the 2026 Galing Pook awardees, which are composed of ten local government programs addressing various concerns of the Filipino people.

The programs range from dengue prevention to children disability care to coastal resilience.

In his speech, Marcos hailed the programs as “valuable contributions to communities through innovation and commitment to public service.”

A total of 208 programs were submitted by 148 local government units, and 10 were eventually awarded.

“The beauty of innovation is that there is always room for improvement. Whether through technology or better approaches to governance, we can always build on what we have achieved,” the President added.
