PH Air Force confirms incident involving two SF-260 aircraft in Batangas

MANILA – The Philippine Air Force confirmed that two SF-260 aircraft figured in an incident during a training flight at the Fernando Air Base in Lipa City, Batangas around 3:50 p.m. on Friday.

According to PAF spokesperson Col. Alvin Jay Capinguian, response teams have been deployed to secure the area and assess the situation. 

“Immediate response measures were activated upon the occurrence of the incident. Our primary priority remains the safety and welfare of the personnel involved, as well as the individuals within the vicinity of the incident site,” Capinguian said in a statement sent to defense reporters.

The PAF has yet to confirm whether there were any injuries or fatalities in the incident.
