Bea Millan-Windorski excited for Miss Universe: ‘I can’t wait to bring my fight to Puerto Rico’

Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski. Dyan Castillejo, ABS-CBN News Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski is the new ambassador of the electric vehicle company Wuling, joining Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2011 Shamcey Supsup.

The 24-year-old beauty queen officially received her Wuling car, which is part of her prize for winning the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 title.

During the event, she wore a white tube-top gown made with local textiles, paired with her Miss Universe Philippines sash. She completed the look with gold pearl earrings and an updo.

“As I take my journey on to the Miss Universe stage, I feel really confident and heartened that I’m aligning myself with companies that hold the same values as me. And I’m excited to amplify the message that we need to save our climate now, not just for climate-vulnerable countries like the Philippines, but also for future generations all across the universe,” she said.

“Maraming, maraming salamat po, and I can’t wait to bring my fight to Puerto Rico.”

The event, called “The Next Journey,” was deeply relatable for the Filipino-American beauty queen who will take on another major international pageant after being crowned Miss Earth Water in 2024.

“For this next journey of taking on the universe, I’m really excited to use the opportunity to amplify the voices of Filipino communities I’ve been working hand-in-hand with,” she said. “From fisherfolk and coastal communities who have been facing the impacts of decreased catches to the same communities that rely on tourism that’s been impacted by climate change, as well as those who have been displaced, especially indigenous people and mining communities.”

She hopes to use this platform to make people realize that “it’s not just front-line communities like these who are impacted by climate change,” but also “all of humanity.”

“Because what we’re feeling right now with an intensified El Niño, no one can escape that. It impacts us all. So, by elevating environmental protection, I’m hoping to make the universe realize that when we protect one another, when one rises, we all rise,” she said.

For Millan-Windorski, being an ambassador goes beyond business as it also aligns with her advocacy on sustainability, which she also highlighted in her beyond the crown video.

“The opportunity to have an electric vehicle and be a brand ambassador for a sustainable company as a step towards combining both business sense with environmental protection,” she said.

Millan-Windorski draws inspiration from her Filipino roots, having represented La Union in her national pageant run.

“Something that’s kept me very motivated is regardless of any external factors, I have the support system around me to make sure I’m as prepared as possible to really make every Filipino heard and every Filipino voice represented,” she said.

“I’m really excited. And even small things like my wardrobe have a lot of intentionality to highlight not just Filipino culture but the communities I’ve been working with, specifically those who are impacted and vulnerable to climate change,” she added.

The beauty queen even brought up Filipina tennis star Alex Eala as she talked about the Pinoy Pride spirit.

“I’m also very motivated to bring home the fifth crown and work hard towards that goal because the Filipinos really deserve a win. When we look at Alex Eala and her recent wins internationally, it’s given something for us to unite and rally around. And I hope to do the same through my Miss Universe journey,” she said.

The 75th Miss Universe pageant will be held in Puerto Rico, with the finals set on November 24.

Millan-Windorski will carry the Philippines’ bid for a fifth Miss Universe crown.
