Oops, LOL! Laugh your heart out with these funny ‘mistakes’ on “It’s Showtime”
Making mistakes can be embarrassing, especially when there’s an audience. But not when you’re with people who are so witty that they can turn even the most unexpected slip-ups into comedy. Imagine twenty-two years of believing you have a photo with Vice Ganda, only to find out you’ve been fangirling over the wrong person. A female audience member recently went viral after bringing a picture she thought was taken with Vice. But the Unkabogable Superstar had to gently burst her bubble, saying, “Hindi po ako ‘yan… Ito, si Tricia, isang komedyante din ‘to. Magkahawig kami talaga pero itong picture na ‘to, hindi ako ‘to.” And to make the fan’s fantasy come true, she and Vice finally had a legit had a photo op together.
During a “Laro Laro Pick” episode featuring senior citizens, two grandmas were caught in their own little ‘marites’ session. It turned out, they were whispering about Anne Curtis. One of them said, “Akala ko si Anne Curtis,” clueless that the woman literally standing right in front of her was Anne herself. The hosts played along, with Vice asking if ‘lola’ had anything to say to Anne, to which the grandma replied, “Hello, Anne, idol kita! Sana nandito ka!” It was only when Anne sang that she finally realized she was talking to the Dyosa herself.
In the next clip, Kim Chiu got caught in another round of identity mix-ups when a “Breaking Muse” candidate mistook her for Anne. The contestant said she noticed that “Anne” kept looking at her, except she was actually referring to Kim. The Chinita Princess then immediately introduced herself to clear up the confusion.
Viewers were also left laughing out loud when a player accidentally mentioned another noontime program during an episode of “It’s Showtime.” But instead of taking offense, the Showtime family went along with the blooper and spoofed the other show’s catchphrase, “Bigyan ng jacket ‘yan!”
Well, mistakes happen, but with the “It’s Showtime” family around, at least we know there’s always a good laugh waiting.
