Isabelle Daza fulfills promise to bring clean and potable water to a community in Rizal: ‘It’s so fulfilling’

Isabelle Daza has reached a major milestone in her efforts to help residents of Ave Maria, a Gawad Kalinga village in Tanay, Rizal, as the community now has access to clean and potable water.

The actress shared the development in an Instagram Reel on October 23, documenting her latest visit to the village she has supported for more than a decade.

“My biggest flex. 😆 next step: Putting electricity and telco tower? 😅 dreaming big here 🙏🏽,” Isabelle wrote in the caption.

In the video, Isabelle proudly showed the completed water system, which includes a submersible pump, a solar power setup, and storage tanks intended to help provide clean water to families in the community.

“I want to show you guys my biggest flex to date. Come. Okay, it’s not a bag. It’s not a watch. It’s a water pump,” she said.

The project fulfills a commitment Isabelle made during her visit to the village in November 2025.

“So, tulad po ng ipinangako ko last year, November 2025, sinabi natin na mahirap umahon sa buhay kapag wala tayong mga basic necessities tulad ng malinis na tubig,” she said.

Isabelle credited the non-governmental organization, Waves for Water, for helping turn the plan into reality. The organization reached out after seeing her previous video about Ave Maria and donated a submersible pump and solar panels to support the community’s water supply.

Reflecting on the achievement, the actress expressed gratitude to everyone who helped support the initiative.

“Honestly, I’m so proud of myself and all of you guys for supporting our mission because we reached it. Last year, we said [that] we wanted to give them clean water and potable water. So here it is. I’m so happy,” she said.

During their visit, Waves for Water demonstrated the filtration system, which Isabelle said allows residents to drink the treated water without needing to boil it or add minerals.

To demonstrate the result, Isabelle drank a glass of the filtered water herself.

“It’s very clean. Napakalinis,” she said afterward.

The improvements have also made access to water more convenient for residents inside their homes. Isabelle showed the newly installed pipes, kitchen sink, and bathroom, explaining that families previously had to collect water and carry it manually for their daily needs.

For the actress, seeing the community benefit from the project made the effort especially meaningful.

“It’s so fulfilling to see the communities happy with water. You know, it’s something we take for granted. Honestly, I love that we were able to do this.”

With the water project completed, Isabelle said she hopes to continue addressing other needs in Ave Maria. The next goal is to bring electricity to the village, followed by the construction of a community center that could create livelihood opportunities for women and give students a place to study and work online. She also intends to provide internet connection for all the residents.

“Simula pa lang ‘to ng pagtulong namin dito sa Ave Maria,” she said.

Isabelle also acknowledged her followers, whose engagement with her social media posts helped bring attention to the village and its needs.

“I just want to thank all of you guys for following the story, for engaging in it. You’re able to contribute,” she said.

The initiative drew praise from netizens and personalities in the entertainment industry, with many commending Isabelle for using her platform to help families in need.

“This is how it should be done. Entering politics isn’t a requirement to help those in need; there are countless other ways to support our fellow human beings. So inspiring and truly something to be proud of! MABUHAY PO KAYO MS. @isabelledaza !!!,” one commenter wrote.

“God bless you, Belle ❤️,” radio host DJ Cha Cha added.

“How inspiring Belle 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼,” veteran journalist Karen Davila also commented.

Isabelle’s latest accomplishment builds on her family’s longstanding connection to Ave Maria. In September 2025, she introduced the village to her Instagram followers and explained how it became part of her family’s history.

According to Isabelle, her grandmother gave the property to her mother, actress and former beauty queen Gloria Diaz, in the 1980s. Gloria later donated the land in the 1990s for a housing project intended to help people who had nowhere to live.

At the time of Isabelle’s visit in 2025, 42 families were already living in the village. She and Gloria spoke directly with residents to learn more about their needs and identify ways to improve their living conditions.

“My target for the next 12 months is to put up a water tank for the village to have running water daily, and solar powered packs to have electricity in each home,” she wrote last year.

In 2015, Isabelle also donated a house to a family in need to celebrate reaching one million followers on Instagram.
