Sharon Cuneta explains why she was not able to attend Star Awards

MANILA —  Actress Sharon Cuneta turned to social media to explain why she was not able to attend the  42nd Star Awards, where she was given the Nora Aunor Lifetime Achievement Award.

On Sunday night, Cuneta’s daughter Frankie Pangilinan accepted the award on her behalf.

According to Cuneta, she was not able to attend the event because she is preparing for her upcoming concert in the United States.

“My @frankiepangilinan accepted my Nora Aunor Lifetime Achievement Award from the Star Awards last night, as I couldn’t go due to my being in deep preparations for my U.S. Concert Tour next month. Maraming, maraming salamat po muli sa Star Awards sa pagpaparangal na ito. It is precious and I am truly honored. 🙏🏻🥰❤️ Thank you again so much, Baba, for honoring and representing me and accepting my award last night! I love you!❤️😘💕,” Cuneta captioned her  Instagram post.

Major winners for Star Awards 2026 were Maricel Soriano and Maris Racal who tied for Best Actress, while Jericho Rosales won the Best Actor award.
