Inside Ejae and Samuel Kim’s Wedding That Blends Modern Elegance and Tradition

After a year of engagement, KPop Demon Hunters singer Ejae has officially tied the knot with her longtime partner, Sam Kim, in a celebration that beautifully blended modern elegance with traditional Korean customs.

Ejae, who rose to global prominence last year following her breakthrough as a singer in Netflix’s hit animated film KPop Demon Hunters, recently shared a series of photos offering fans a glimpse into her wedding celebration.

The couple marked the occasion with several events in Seoul, beginning with a traditional paebaek ceremony that honored Korean wedding customs. They also hosted a welcome party at Congdu50, a restaurant known for its Korean fusion cuisine and sweeping views of the city.

Ejae and Sam exchanged vows on October 17, 2026, at Stage 28, a venue with sentimental value for the singer. Her grandparents once lived there when she was a child, making the location a meaningful choice for the couple. Her brother also held his wedding at the same venue.

For the paebaek ceremony, Ejae wore a green-and-gold hanbok paired with a deep red skirt, designed by Han Eun Hee. She later changed into a custom bridal gown by Danielle Frankel for the wedding ceremony, while Sam wore a suit by Bhambi’s Custom Tailors.

The celebration also brought together some of the people who became part of Ejae’s journey following the global success of KPop Demon Hunters. Fellow HUNTR/X voice stars Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna were among the guests, marking a special moment for the trio after their shared breakthrough with the Netflix film.

Adding another personal touch to the ceremony, Andrew Choi, who provided the singing voice for Jinu in KPop Demon Hunters, officiated the couple’s wedding. Beyond his connection to the film, Andrew is also a close friend of Ejae and Sam.

In an interview, Ejae shared that her relationship with Sam Kim began unexpectedly. What was initially meant to be a music collaboration between the singer and Kim, a former music producer who now works as a computer programmer, eventually blossomed into a lasting romance.

Their story began in May 2017, when a mutual friend introduced them at Sam’s studio. What started as a professional meeting soon developed into a relationship that would grow over the years.

The couple eventually settled in New York while pursuing their respective careers. On June 1, 2025, Sam surprised Ejae with a marriage proposal, marking another milestone in their relationship.

Little did they know that just 20 days later, on June 20, 2025, KPop Demon Hunters would premiere on Netflix and change the course of Ejae’s career. She lent her singing voice to Rumi, the leader and lead vocalist of HUNTR/X, who wields a saingeom sword in combat.

As Ejae and Sam begin this new chapter as a married couple, we can only wish that, much like the love songs she has helped bring to life, their love story will continue to unfold beautifully, filled with harmony, shared dreams, and a lifetime of cherished memories.
