Jude CartalabaMANILA — Three beauty queens who recently won international pageant titles and placements were honored at a press conference hosted by ALV Pageant Circle on Monday, October 26, at Discovery Primea in Makati City.
Sophia Bianca Santos was crowned Miss Elite 2026 last September 18, while Gabrielle Galapia placed third runner-up at Miss Asia-Pacific International 2026 held in Cebu in October; and Jayvee Lyn Lorejo finished third runner-up at Miss Global 2026 in Nonthaburi, Thailand last month.
For these beauty queens, success is about more than winning crowns. It is also about earning their place in the pageant world and using their platforms to make a difference.
When the queens were asked about their responsibilities as individuals, they were candid with their answers.
For Santos, her advocacy, Soft Heart, is the one closest to her. “I want to empower the indigenous people because like them I was discriminated against. I was called ‘baluga.'” she said.
“I want them to overcome such struggles and let them feel valued and empowered.”
For her part, Galapia said: “Being an abuse survivor who went through a period of depression, I want to help people achieve the best versions of themselves.”
“Through the TikTok videos I have, I talk about life’s lessons that could relate to online users or audiences.”
Lorejo stands firm with her advocacy for the elderly people via her Pangga Project. “By showing my authentic self and helping individuals in their twilight years is something close to my heart since I grew up with my Lola,” she said.
“Through the help of ALV, I am happy to continue such an initiative in providing the needs of these vulnerable sectors of our society.”
Meanwhile, Arnold Vegafria, ALV’s president, founder and CEO, is preparing for the upcoming 30th Miss Tourism International pageant, which the Philippines is hosting in December.
