Charo Santos celebrates 71st birthday: ‘So much still to look forward to’
Charo Santos took to social media to share a heartfelt message as she celebrated her 71st birthday on Tuesday, October 27.
On her TikTok page, the actress and Kapamilya executive joined a birthday trend and reflected on the joy of marking another year in her life.
“THIS BIRTHDAY IS GIVING… a grateful heart and the joy of growing through life,” she posted.
Charo expressed her gratitude for the people who have made her journey meaningful.
“Thankful for another year, for the people who make life meaningful, and for the chance to keep learning and growing,” she remarked.
She also shared her positive outlook on aging, emphasizing that there are still many things to look forward to.
“Not counting the years but making every year count. And with so much still to look forward to, I’m happy to see where life takes me next. But in the meantime, tuloy lang ang TikTok! 💃😂💖” she said.
Fans online were quick to extend their birthday greetings to Charo.
Meanwhile, on October 22, Charo shared that she celebrated her birthday alongside acclaimed film director and former ABS-CBN Film Productions Managing Director Olivia Lamasan.
On Instagram, the actress shared photos and videos from their joint birthday celebration, which was attended by their family and friends.
Charo also penned a heartfelt message for the filmmaker, expressing her appreciation for the time they get to spend together despite their busy schedules.
“Happy birthday, Direk Olive! Always a joy to celebrate with you and share good food, stories, and laughter with dear friends. Here’s to making more time for each other, beyond the busy days and work schedules,” she stated.
In October, Charo achieved another career milestone after receiving the Dekada Award for Best Actress at the Golden Screen Awards for her performance in Kun Maupay Man It Panahon.
“50 years in this industry… and life still finds beautiful ways to surprise me. Honoured to be a Dekada Awardee for Best Actress for Kun Maupay Man It Panahon, presented by the Multimedia Press Society of the Philippines,” she posted at that time.
