Prince William reveals his childhood dream jobs if he weren’t a royal
Prince William opened up about the careers he once dreamed of pursuing when he was younger, revealing that he had considered becoming a police officer and even a DJ.
During his appearance on The Graham Norton Show, the Prince of Wales was asked what career he would have pursued had he not been born into the royal family.
“I did want to be a policeman when I was younger. I thought I could make a good policeman,” he said. “And being a policeman I thought was quite cool.”
Aside from joining the police force, Prince William also recalled wanting to be a DJ.
“And then I went through a phase where I wanted to be a DJ which didn’t go very well. I came up with a name. I was called DJ Xara with an X. It wasn’t good,” she said.
When asked by host Graham Norton whether he had ever performed as a DJ at school parties, Prince William replied: “No I didn’t. I never got that good.”

Prince William made a surprise appearance on the The Graham Norton Show to discuss the Earthshot Prize, an environmental initiative he founded to recognize and support innovative solutions to global environmental challenges.
In the show, he joined Cate Blanchett, Hannah Waddingham, and Robert Irwin, who are also involved in the initiative.
“For many years I was hearing stories about environment issues and one thing that struck me was the negativity and doom which got me down. I thought we could do something more powerful and more optimistic and the idea of an awards’ ceremony came about and we could talk about urgency and optimism together. It’s all about getting excited,” Prince Wiliam said about the initiative as reported by PEOPLE.
He added: “There are some amazing people out there doing things to protect the world. We could really highlight what is being done and scale them to the next level to have more impact around the world.”
