This club in Quezon City blends fine dining with intimate live music

MANILA —  Looking for an ideal place for your next night out? There’s a place in Quezon City where you can enjoy dining and live entertainment at the same time.

Quezon Club, a dining and entertainment venue, is putting its spotlight for Filipino talent as it gathers seasoned and rising performers to showcase live entertainment.

Located at the Solaire Resort Quezon City, the intimate live entertainment venue provides a platform for Filipino artists to show off their craft while connecting with the audiences.

In a recent media event, members of the press were treated to performances by singer-actress Carla Guevara Laforteza, The Sirens, David Ezra, and Radha, who is also Quezon Club’s creative director.

“My vision for Quezon Club is to create an entertainment experience that celebrates the depth, versatility, and individuality of Filipino talent. We want Quezon Club to be a stage where artists can express their craft, connect with audiences, and bring something distinctive to every performance. Ultimately, it is about creating programming that excites guests while giving Filipino artists opportunities to shine. What a wonderful venue for us as artists to come on stage and share our talents with you guys, with every audience that we have here at Quezon Club,” said Radha, who’s been in the entertainment industry for over three decades.

Filipino-Dutch singer Aliya Parcs, JMRTN of The RetroSPECT band, The QC Kids Crew also performed.

The artists welcomed the opportunity to showcase their talents at the venue, with actress-singer Guevara Laforteza saying it offered the right setting for her wide-ranging performances.

“A little history. I have been doing not just theater, but lounge singing for more than 30 years. And this is the first time I’ve ever performed in a venue where the ambience is so beautiful, it’s so elegant. There is an actual stage with red velvet curtains. The food is excellent. The cocktails are excellent.

“It is the perfect venue to entertain, especially me as a theater artist, I like to do different things. I’d like to do different concepts. And this is just the perfect place for that, and I’m able to express my artistry every time I do that, whether singing musical theater songs, even Disney, even a jazz standards, pop, Motown, all these things. It just fits so well with this venue.

“So it’s just a wonderful feeling to have that proper venue to just express that artistry that we all have,” Guevara Laforteza said.

Parcs welcomed the opening of a venue in Quezon City that brings together elevated dining and live music, saying it offers artists a space between intimate performances and large-scale concerts.

“Let’s be honest, Metro Manila is cut up into a different cities, and every city has a different musical culture. And I feel that the more close you get to Makati, BGC, it becomes a little more upscale and upscale and I think Quezon City was kind of missing that.

“I think what’s beautiful about this place is that it expands the music culture, the food culture, the ambience. You come in here, it’s regal, from the interior to the artists. It creates a certain energy that Quezon City isn’t yet super familiar with. And so for us coming from the south, coming from the metro, the central area, it is so nice to be able to expand outside our comfort zone and to create a vibe here, especially for some of us artists, you know, we sometimes fall through the cracks and we have to go between the super high-end and the super beer house,” Parcs said.

“This is just such a sweet spot for us. And what I love about this place in particular, it gives you a concert feel without it being intimidating because it’s so intimate… to be able to get that concert feel and still be able to see faces and get that response back, and to be able to actually get into the crowd and see who you’re singing with. I think as a performer, I find it so important that aside from telling a story through song, that we’re connecting at the end of the day…

“For me personally, I love that Quezon City now has a venue that can create this that we haven’t seen before,” she added.
