In a statement, Viki announced it would make the series, which premiered on October 26, available to audiences across Southeast Asia.
Set in the picturesque village of Upo-ri, “Summer Vacation” follows Kim Ha-yeon, a high school student who spends her summer break in the countryside, where she crosses paths with Jo Yu-gyeom, the heir to a prestigious clan.
Yi-hyun, known for her roles in “All of Us Are Dead” and “Head Over Heels,” plays Ha-yeon, who finds herself in unfamiliar surroundings after traveling to Upo-ri for her summer break.
Meanwhile, Jinyoung, a former K-pop boy band member whose past series include “Sweet Home” and “Police University,” stars as Yu-gyeom.
Yu-gyeom is the heir to a traditional noble family. Blessed with striking looks and exceptional swimming skills, he appears to lead an enviable life, but beneath his seemingly perfect exterior lies a monotonous and colorless existence.
Actress Hong Ye-ji, who previously starred in the period drama “Missing Crown Prince,” is also part of the drama as Yu-gyeom’s girlfriend Sae-ryeong.
“Summer Vacation” releases new episodes every Mondays and Tuesdays.
