But how is the so-called “Queen of All Media” really doing as she continues to battle multiple autoimmune diseases?
On Wednesday, Aquino appeared on the GMA talk show hosted by her longtime friend Boy Abunda, where she opened up about her current health condition.
Aquino stressed that “just because I look okay” does not mean she is feeling well all the time. In fact, she revealed that she was experiencing “extreme back pain” on the day she taped her guest appearance on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.”
But, “there are good days, finally,” said Aquino
“Kasi when you (Boy) visited us… there were no good days. But finally ngayon, there are good days,” Aquino said.
Aquino also revealed that she is set to receive immunosuppressants to help manage her autoimmune diseases, a treatment she said she would need “for life.”
“Ang immunosuppressant means wala kang panlaban sa mga sakit pero ‘yong mga masasamang autoimmune na sobra-sobra, pinapatay naman niya,” she explained.
“It’s done in two sessions… but after that, mas nakakalakad, mas may lakas and all and that’s good for about two to three months [do it again],” she said.
“Pero ‘yon naman ang sinasabi ko, I’m alive and I get to see what’s happening with the two boys,” she said, referring to her sons.
The interview will continue in Thursday’s episode of “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.”
