DAVAO CITY — The Police Regional Office XI (PRO XI) said on Wednesday that there have been no reported sightings of Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa in the Davao region following the issuance of an arrest warrant against him by the International Criminal Court (ICC), and the government’s P50-million bounty for his arrest.

PRO XI spokesperson Maj. Catherine Dela Rey said authorities continue to monitor reports of Dela Rosa’s possible presence in his home region.

“Ang national headquarters, mayroon silang kinompose na task force for that and dito sa Region 11, so far, wala namang movement. Monitoring lang sa amin kung nandito ba si Sir Bato. So far, negative naman po,” Dela Rey said during the Davao Peace and Security Press Corps briefing on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Maj. Ruben Gadut, spokesperson of the Philippine Army’s 10th Infantry Division (10th ID), said the military is ready to assist the Philippine National Police (PNP) if needed.

“As what the PRO XI states na wala naman dito yung personality. But again, kung saan mang area, so we stick to that statement na ang Armed Forces, kung titingnan natin is may papel, particularly intelligence and logistics. In some cases, pag mga law enforcement support operations, mayroon tayong mga participations like that. But, kina-clarify din natin na sa mga ganito, ang may jurisdiction or lead role ang PNP sa law enforcement.

The PNP has launched hotlines to receive information on the whereabouts of Dela Rosa as it continues its manhunt for the senator, whose one-week ultimatum to surrender ends Friday.
