Mimiyuuuh sets the record straight on ‘clean money girl’ comment

Social media influencer Mimiyuuuh broke her silence as she explained the viral comment she made about “clean money girl” which has been shared by netizens on social media. In the recent episode of Kylie Verzosa’s Almost Honest podcast, the internet personality clarified that she didn’t mean any harm and just wanted to celebrate people who work hard for their money.

Mimiyuuuh previously praised Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis for the hard work she has done and called her a clean money girl. Some netizens shared the clip on social media and expressed how she might be hinting at another celebrity who wasn’t a “clean money girl.”

“So kami ni Esnyr nag vlog kami tapos parang it’s just so weird na pinupuri lang namin si Ms. Anne for being a clean money girl kasi totoo naman na she really works hard for everything that she has–– period,” she shared.

“I’m not pertaining to other people na just because hindi kita na puri na clean money girl ka, ibig sabihin madumi ka ng babae. Just because hindi ko nabanggit yung pangalan mo, it doesn’t mean na you’re a dirty money girl,” she added.

The social media influencer went on to compare other celebrities who weren’t offended with the comment she made.

“Kunyari, si Ms. Kylie bakit hindi ka naman na offend nung sinabi ko na si Anne Curtis ay clean money girl, di ba? Let’s say si Meme, bakit hindi siya naoffend na bakit hindi ako sinabi ni Mimiyuuuh na clean money girl eh clean money girl rin naman ako? Di ba? So I feel like na misunderstood lang rin talaga ang lahat,” she said.

For Mimiyuuuh, people who worked hard for their money deserve to be praised and her comment wasn’t meant to throw shade at anyone.

“I don’t think so kasi we need to praise people na nag tratrabaho ng marangal di ba? Yung mga janitor like everyone kailangan natin silang ipraise–– yun yung point ko. Yun lang yun, period. Wala akong hinihate, wala akong minimean na ibang people. It’s to celebrate people who works hard and nanggaling sa linis yun naman ang aking point doon,” she expressed.

When asked what she learned about all of this issue, Mimiyuuuh just remembered to be true to herself and stick with her values.

“Yun yung natutunan ko talaga na ito yung paniniwala ko, ito ako. Hindi ko kailangan ibahin yung paniniwala ko para lang magustuhan ako ng ibang tao. Girl, bigyan natin ng palakpak yung mga taong talagang nagtrtrabaho ng marangal. Yun lang yun,” she said.

“Kung nagtrtrabaho ka ng marangal, good for you. We need to celebrate hard work,” she ended.
