Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff file for divorce after 3 years of marriage

Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff are moving forward with the end of their marriage after reportedly filing for divorce several months after their separation. 

According to The Associated Press, the divorce case was filed at the Kings County Supreme Court in Brooklyn, New York, on October 30. Court records reportedly classify it as an uncontested matrimonial action, with Margaret named as the plaintiff and Jack listed as the defendant.

A source told PEOPLE that they are pursuing the divorce together, explaining that the move was uncontested.  

“Jack and Margaret are filing for divorce jointly,” the source said. “This is a mutual decision.” 

“They share a deep affinity and love for one another, and though their romantic partnership is ending, they will absolutely be lifelong friends.” 

News of their separation first surfaced in July, three years after they tied the knot. At the time, Margaret’s representative pushed back against reports suggesting that trust issues or infidelity had contributed to the breakup. 

“The narratives running in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically untrue. There are no trust issues. There was no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship,” the statement read. 

“They have deep love and care for one another,” the representative continued. “There are only two people in this marriage, and the sources who are talking to the press and commenting on their relationship are not people who know them. Please respect their privacy.” 

The separation reports came shortly after Jack attended the wedding celebration of his longtime friend and collaborator Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce in New York City on July 3.  

The actress was not seen at the celebration, while Jack attended with his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff. 

Margaret is known for her performances in films such as The Substance, Poor Things, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. She is the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell and has built a career across independent films and major Hollywood productions. 

Jack, meanwhile, is a 14-time Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer whose work includes collaborations with Taylor, Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Troye Sivan, Sia, and Sabrina Carpenter, among other artists.  

Some of his well-known works are Taylor’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” “Out of the Woods,” “Lover,” and “Lavender Haze” among many others.  

He is also the frontman of the band Bleachers.  

The two began dating in 2021 and exchanged vows in August 2023 in a ceremony attended by several personalities from the entertainment and music industries.
