What the ‘M2M TWO’ Tour Is All About, Straight From Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn
M2M’s “Better Ending” was just the beginning!
They came back for a little nostalgia, hoping to give their story the ending it never had. But after a sold-out reunion tour, Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn realized there was more to their story. Now, M2M is looking back with fondness while singing into the future together.
Filipino fans who grew up listening to M2M have another reason to look forward to 2027. The Norwegian pop duo, made up of Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn, is returning to Manila for their new global tour, “TWO,” on April 2, 2027, at the Araneta Coliseum.
The upcoming tour will kick off in March 2027, with stops in Singapore, Manila, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Mexico, among other destinations. For fans who missed their reunion shows in 2025, this is another chance to see the duo perform the songs that became part of their growing-up years. Expect familiar favorites such as “Don’t Say You Love Me,” “Mirror Mirror,” “Pretty Boy,” and “The Day You Went Away.”
But “TWO” is not a repeat of their previous tour. In fact, old faves and exciting new songs will be joining the setlist so M2M fans can revisit the music that made the duo globally famous and listen to the artists the two have grown to become.
“I think that’s been so fun to [go] back into this teenage universe of us of ours, but with our grown-up songwriter brains,” says Marit.
After finding worldwide success as teenagers, the two childhood friends eventually went their separate ways. Their individual journeys continued, and for years, M2M remained a beautiful teenage memory for fans who had grown up listening to them.
What they did not expect was how much the world still loved and wanted them when they reunited decades later.
“’The Better Endings Tour‘ exceeded our wildest dreams,” Marit Larsen tells Metro.Style. “We had no idea how full those rooms would be, or how natural and beautiful it would feel to get the band back together, hearing thousands of people singing these songs at the top of their lungs.”
The experience also meant rediscovering the friendship behind the music. After more than two decades apart, neither knew exactly what it would feel like to work together again.
“[It is] a celebration because I felt it was supposed to be and it was a better ending than we got over 20 years ago,” shares Marit with a hopeful smile. “I also think what happened on stage, playing those songs again, mixing them in with solo songs, reconnecting with the audience, and feeling that amazing energy in the room, it just feels like there was so much more endless curiosity. Couldn’t stop there.”
And so they didn’t.
If the “Better Endings Tour” was about looking back, “TWO” is about looking ahead. The upcoming concert will feature new songs alongside the familiar hits, giving audiences a better picture of where Marit and Marion are creatively today.
Marit puts it simply when asked what fans can expect from the new show: “The last tour was about nostalgia, and this one is about the future. We’re also introducing some songs that we felt were missing in the last concert that we’ve now written.”
“In this new chapter, we dive deeper into what merging two very connected, yet undeniably different souls and songwriters can mean,” Marion adds.
Oh, and there is also another milestone worth celebrating.
“Next year is also the 25th anniversary of our second album, The Big Room. It would be great to do some of the songs [from the album], and then we also have to figure out how we’re going to do the new songs live,” shares Marion.
The tour name “TWO” carries the story of childhood friends from Lørenskog, Norway, who found worldwide success as teenagers, went their separate ways, and eventually found their way back to each other.
“At last, it feels like we’re writing the rest of our story together, side by side, the two of us,” Marion says.
