PH’s Sasha Lacuna among Top 6 in Miss Globe national costume competition
Sasha Lacuna/Instagram Sasha Lacuna made an impression during the Miss Globe 2026 national costume competition, placing in the Top 6 as she brought the story of her home province of Tarlac.
The Philippine representative wore a sparkly costume called “Ani ng Kasaganaan,” showcasing Tarlac’s abundant harvests. At the heart of this is the carabao, a long-standing symbol of the Filipino farmer’s enduring spirit and hard work.
“More than just a celebration of our agricultural heritage, this is a tribute to the people behind every grain, every crop, and every blessing our land provides,” Lacuna said in an Instagram post.
“Because behind every abundant harvest is a farmer’s sacrifice and a nation’s pride,” she added.
Ecuador was eventually proclaimed the winner of the Miss Globe 2026 national costume competition.
The rest of the Top 6 came from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, and Ukraine.
Lacuna hopes to follow in the footsteps of Ann Colis and Maureen Montagne, who won the Miss Globe crown for the Philippines in 2015 and 2021, respectively.
The Miss Globe final will be held in Phuket, Thailand on Friday, November 6.
