AZ Martinez on Ralph De Leon: ‘Lahat ng gusto mo sa lalaki, makikita mo kay Ralph’

In a conversation with Donita Nose, Baninay, and Jeff Fernando, AZ Martinez described Ralph De Leon as someone who is very much “ma-effort,” whether as a guy courting her or simply as a best friend.

Her answer immediately caught the hosts’ attention, with Baninay asking whether Ralph was indeed courting her. AZ, however, quickly clarified that he was her best friend, although she admitted that his efforts were unlike those of an ordinary friend.

AZ shared that Ralph would go out of his way to plan their dinners and outings, including a visit to a quiet resort in Pampanga where they had dinner after he picked her up from work.

She also described him as thoughtful and generous, mentioning the food, flowers, and gifts he had given her, including a necklace.

Beyond his gestures, AZ revealed that Ralph has also grown close to the people important to her. She shared that her friends and family love him and that he had already attended her grandmother’s birthday celebration. Both have also met each other’s families.

When asked whether Ralph had a chance if he were to pursue her romantically, AZ responded by describing him as her “ideal boyfriend.”

“First, very family-oriented siya,” she said, adding that they had also attended church together, something she considers important in a potential partner.

She further emphasized how much she values effort and thoughtfulness, qualities she sees in Ralph.

“So, everything. I think lahat ng gusto mo sa lalaki, makikita mo kay Ralph,” AZ said, prompting another round of teasing from the hosts as she quickly clarified her statement.

AZ’s latest remarks also bring back Ralph’s previous appearance on Gandang Gabi Vice, where he participated in the show’s “Trot o Charot” segment.

During the segment, Ralph was holding a statement, “Niligawan ko si AZ pero nareject ako.” He answered “Charot,” indicating that the statement was false and that he was not rejected by AZ.

“Very special friend ko si AZ,” Ralph explained. 

For now, the two appear content with their special friendship, leaving the possibility of a friends-to-lovers story open.
