Security guard dies in Isabela road collision on Friday the 13th
CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA — A 20-year-old security guard died when his motorcycle collided with a pick-up truck on Friday afternoon (July 13) at the national highway in Barangay (village) San Juan, Ilagan City, police said.
Ariel Alvarez had a night duty assignment and was on his way to his assigned work place when his motorcycle was rammed by a truck driven by Edwin Taggueg, a village councilor in Tumauini town in Isabela.
Taggueg allegedly encroached into the motorcycle’s lane.
He surrendered to the police in Tumauini, and was turned over to the Ilagan police which has jurisdiction over the accident.
Taggueg would be charged for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide, police said. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR.
